Spoke and Leaf Farm

Spoke and Leaf Farm is excited to offer CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares for the 2018 season!

Are you new to the CSA model? Check out a great explanation from Portland CSA. But, in short, a CSA share is a way for consumers (Community) to receive fresh-from-the-farm produce directly from the grower and for the farmer to receive much needed funds (Support-ed) in the spring in order to continue growing (Agriculture).  It's also a direct relationship between harvest share holders and the farmer that enriches knowledge and community around the food that sustains us and that we celebrate together.

For 2018 there will be only 25 shares available for each eight week block!

What's in a share?

Each share will include a variety of vegetables and occassionally herbs. Items will include more consistent staples like lettuce, cooking greens, and onions, as well as unique veggies to discover and enjoy. We work hard to keep each share diverse while also regularly including favorites. A share is intended to feed two hearty eaters, or 3-4 lighter eaters or those who eat out more frequently. Share volume will vary with the season; lighter to begin with and becoming very full through the height of the season.

Season length

The CSA season will run 22 weeks, from late May through mid October. First pick-up/delivery is planned for Wednesday, May 24, but the exact start date for the season will depend on the weather and other factors. Members will be informed by email of the start date 7-10 days before the first pick up.

NEW! HOME DELIVERY!
This year we are offering home delivery as an option within the SE/NE areas of Portland, OR. You can choose between a Wednesday morning or Friday morning delivery depending on your location. Please see the map below for delivery areas. Wednesday (green on map) deliveries will be made between 10am and 12noon. Friday (purple on map) deliveries will be made between 8am and 9:45am. If you are located within one mile of a drop off location, I ask that you pick up at the drop location (unless you have a mitigating situation, such as a physical inability to pick-up at the drop site). Live outside the delivery area but withing a few blocks? Talk to me about the possibility!

Map also available here.

Home Delivery Agreement
